The 2026 ASI Autogiro d’Italia is ready to return with its eighth, highly anticipated edition—an event that has become a must – attend event on the Historical Challenges calendar. The journey will set off on September 21, following the preliminary procedures on the previous day, from Montecatini Terme, a refined Tuscan gem renowned worldwide for its thermal waters and timeless charm.
From there, an exciting route will wind through the enchanting Val d’Orcia, reaching Montefiascone, a splendid natural terrace overlooking Lake Bolsena. The convoy will then continue along the Lazio coast toward Sabaudia, where distinctive Rationalist architecture and the atmosphere of the Circeo National Park will provide a truly unique welcome.
The journey will proceed to the majestic Royal Palace of Caserta, then head south to Salerno, which will host a parade along its elegant seafront, before plunging into the magic of the Amalfi Coast: a succession of breathtaking views, narrow lanes suspended between sea and rock, and historical
landmarks that recall the ancient splendor of the Roman Empire.
The route will then lead the crews inland to discover the spa town of Fiuggi, before arriving in Terni, the city of love and home to the majestic Marmore Falls—the highest artificial waterfall in Europe, a masterpiece of Roman engineering that has fascinated visitors from around the world for centuries.
The grand finale will take participants to Misano Adriatico, in the heart of the Marco Simoncelli World Circuit, where the Autogiro will conclude during the ASI Festival: an entire weekend of celebrations dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Automotoclub Storico d’Italia.

Tappa 1
Montecatini T. - Montefiascone

The first stage of the 2026 Autogiro d’Italia sets off from Montecatini Terme, an elegant spa town in the heart of the Valdinievole, a symbol of well-being and hospitality
Pre event operations and opening dinner will take place at Hotel Palazzo Belvedere *****. Here, amid tree-lined avenues, Art Nouveau architecture, and the iconic funicular railway climbing up to Montecatini Alto, participants gather to set off on a new and exciting journey across Italy. The convoy will head south, crossing some of the most evocative landscapes of inland Tuscany, where rolling hills, rows of cypress trees, and sweeping vineyards accompany the route. The itinerary passes through historic villages and scenic roads that tell centuries of culture, art, and tradition—a succession of unforgettable views.
After passing through the Val d’Orcia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the route continues toward Lazio, where the warm tones of the Tuscan countryside give way to the vistas of Lake Bolsena. Arrival is scheduled in Montefiascone, a medieval town perched on the crater of an ancient volcano and famous for its Est! Est!! Est!!! wine. The overnight stay is planned at the Hotel Salus Terme ****.

Montefiascone - Sabaudia

The second stage of the 2026 ASI Autogiro d’Italia will lead the crews from Montefiascone to Sabaudia along a route rich in evocative landscapes and millennia of history.
After leaving the Lake Bolsena, the cars will head south, passing through gentle hills and villages nestled in greenery, until reaching the area around Lake Bracciano, one of Lazio’s natural jewels. Its clear waters and the majestic profile of Odescalchi Castle provide a setting of extraordinary beauty, perfect for a scenic stop and to soak in the unique atmosphere of this land, suspended between nature and history.
The route will continue toward the Lazio coast, where the landscape gradually opens up to wide coastal expanses guiding the crews southward. Traveling through lively seaside towns and wilder stretches of coastline, participants will be able to admire the contrast between the blue of the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Mediterranean vegetation.
Arrival in Sabaudia will be marked by the city’s unmistakable Rationalist architecture and the imposing presence of the Circeo National Park, an ideal backdrop to conclude a stage that combines nature, culture, and breathtaking landscapes.

Tappa 3
Sabaudia - Salerno

The third stage of the 2026 ASI Autogiro d’Italia, from Sabaudia to Salerno, promises a journey full of charm, history, and spectacular landscapes.
After leaving Sabaudia, the crews will head south along the Lazio coast, with its stretches of sunlit shoreline, fragrant pine forests, and vistas opening onto the Tyrrhenian Sea. The route will then wind inland toward Campania.
The highlight of the day will be a stop at the Royal Palace of Caserta, one of the absolute masterpieces of European Baroque art and architecture. Participants will be able to admire the imposing façade designed by Luigi Vanvitelli, the grand courtyards, the spectacular gardens, and the famous fountains, enjoying an immersive experience in one of Italy’s most iconic heritage sites. A pause that combines culture, wonder, and the chance to breathe in the regal atmosphere that has defined this extraordinary place for centuries.
Departing from Caserta, the convoy will make its way to the sea, reaching Salerno, where a warm welcome and the elegant seafront will provide the perfect finale for a stage that is intense, refined, and full of emotion.

Salerno - Fiuggi

The fourth stage of the 2026 ASI Autogiro d’Italia takes participants from the stunning Amalfi Coast to the historic spa town of Fiuggi
offering a journey that blends breathtaking scenery, culture, and Italian charm. Leaving Salerno, the convoy winds along the famous coastal roads, where cliffs rise dramatically from the sparkling waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Charming villages, colorful houses, and narrow winding streets create a picture-perfect backdrop, while every turn offers a new panoramic vista over the iconic coastline.
As the journey moves inland, the landscape gradually shifts from coastal elegance to rolling hills, vineyards, and fragrant olive groves. Participants will traverse quaint towns and picturesque villages, each rich in history and local traditions. Along the way, the route showcases Italy’s diverse beauty, from sun-drenched shores to the serene countryside of central Italy.
The stage culminates in Fiuggi, a town celebrated for its thermal waters and wellness heritage.

Fiuggi - Terni

The fifth stage of the 2026 ASI Autogiro d’Italia takes participants from the spa town of Fiuggi to Terni, the “City of Love,”
offering a journey filled with history, natural beauty, and Italian charm. Departing Fiuggi, the convoy winds through the scenic hills of central Italy, surrounded by lush forests, rolling landscapes, and the gentle curves of country roads that reveal Italy’s timeless countryside. The route is dotted with charming villages, ancient churches, and traditional architecture, offering participants glimpses into centuries of culture and heritage.
As the journey approaches Terni, the landscape becomes increasingly dramatic, with the roar of the Marmore Falls—a spectacular man-made waterfall and one of Europe’s highest—announcing the city’s arrival.

Tappa 6
Terni - Circuito Misano A.

The sixth stage of the 2026 ASI Autogiro d’Italia leads participants from Terni to Misano Adriatico, home of the famous Marco Simoncelli World Circuit.
Departing from the heart of Umbria, the convoy travels through rolling hills, verdant valleys, and charming towns that showcase the rich tapestry of Italy’s central landscapes. Winding roads, historic villages, and panoramic views create a journey that is both exhilarating and culturally immersive, capturing the essence of the Italian countryside.
As participants head toward the Adriatic coast, the scenery gradually shifts from inland hills to open plains and the sparkling waters of the Adriatic Sea. Along the way, drivers and passengers can experience the changing moods of Italy’s landscapes, from tranquil rural settings to vibrant seaside towns.
The stage culminates at the iconic Misano Adriatico circuit, where the Autogiro d’Italia joins the ASI Festival. Here, participants enjoy a unique celebration of classic cars dedicated to the 60-year legacy of the Automotoclub Storico d’Italia.

Ci ispiriamo alla grande tradizione delle corse automobilistiche di gran fondo su strada che, già dal 1901, venivano organizzate nel nostro Paese.
Corse epiche dove i protagonisti erano piloti ed automobili capaci di scrivere la storia di uno sport meraviglioso e che, ai suoi albori, li vedeva impegnati su percorsi abitualmente aperti al traffico, tra ali di folla entusiaste e festanti.
